City of Salisbury Wreck

City of Salisbury wrecked on some rocks in 1938. It was a large freighter, about 415 feet in length. Now the site is a large debris field, with wreckage scattered throughout the site. Most of the wreck is unrecognizable, but large pieces of wreck still remain intact. Large boulder type rocks (which the ship struck) are as impressive as the site itself. Depth for the site ranges from 30′ to about 60′.
